When perfect moments align under the Sonoma Valley sky, magic happens. Recently, our Field to Fork gathering at Cassidy Ranch exemplified just that kind of enchantment, bringing together local flavors, crafted cocktails, and cherished connections in one unforgettable evening.
Setting the Scene: Cocktails and Connections
As the sun cast its golden rays across Cassidy Ranch's flower fields, we partnered with Top Cherry Event Rentals to transform our rustic setting into an elegant outdoor celebration. The Carneros Mobile Bar, a gleaming copper Airstream trailer, served as both a functional bar and a stunning conversation piece.
Our collaboration with Prohibition Spiritsand Songbird Parlour's lead mixologist, Kenneth De Alba, elevated the evening's libations to an art form. The Sunflower Sipper captured summer's essence with its bright limoncello notes and Sonoma Mountain sparkling wine finish. Meanwhile, the Summer Fig Fizz emerged as the evening's signature drink, harmoniously blending fresh figs with Aperol's citrus notes and effervescent local sparkling wine.
Guests wandered through vibrant flower fields, creating personalized bouquets while live-fire cooking aromas drifted through the air. Sam Edmondson’s acoustic melodies provided the perfect soundtrack as our friends and neighbors lounged on the tasting room deck, taking in Cassidy Ranch's breathtaking vistas.
This magical hour set the stage for connections – old friends caught up, new friendships blossomed, and everyone fell a little more in love with the beauty of Sonoma Valley.
A Feast Under the Stars
As twilight descended, long tables beckoned guests to gather for an extraordinary dining experience. The menu celebrated Sonoma's agricultural bounty with thoughtfully crafted dishes:
Mike the Bejkr’s wood-fired bread arrived with estate honey butter, while Hector’s Honey bee pollen burrata paired perfectly with heirloom tomatoes and stone fruit. Hickory-smoked eggplant and summer squashes shared space with herb-forward chickpea gremolata. The Oak Hill potatoes, brightened with dill and pickled mustard seed, complemented the salmon grilled over pinot noir leaves. A perfectly grilled ribeye, adorned with salsa verde and charred citrus, completed the feast.
The true magic emerged in the shared experience - the passing of plates, the pouring of wine, and the gradual transformation of strangers into friends. This celebration embodied everything that makes Sonoma Valley special: exceptional produce, masterful preparation, and genuine hospitality.
